Sneak Peek

Good Morning All!
Its a beautiful day here..cool..but loads of glorious sunshine! Yesterday,it was warm enough for me to sun-bake my rabbit doll..lol..I couldn't believe it either..whether you have sunshine today or not, I would like to wish you a very happy weekend!
I will be listing with Olde Primitive Peddler on Feb.15th..I am truly excited about being apart of this! I hope ya'll will mosey over when you can.
Here's a photo..although not a great one..of 2 new items I have made especially for that listing. Both are my own design, and I do intend to make the rabbit doll  into a pattern. She is just about 26 inches high and 7 inches across.. I love her..I just have to give her a name!

Grace N Mercy

Inspired by gifts we receive daily..thaNks to the Lord! This is the first pattern I ever drew, I loved them then, and I love them now.


They have been made of osnaburg. Their eyes are stitched,faces needle-sculpted. I've bound them in old lace,because Mercy and Grace do adorn our days with softness. They are tied to old spools,with grapevine wings,glued,and sewn on. GruNgy hang-tags with Grace and Mercy stamped on,with tied on old buttons, and rusty pinned on.

Grace stands at about 13 1/2 inches high..mercy is about 15 inches high..both are 9 inches across. Beautiful set..look so much nicer than the photos! If you are interested in the pattern for them, you can find it on my website.

New DoLL N NEW PatterN! :)

Needed a cheery thought today, hence the bunnies!


The fellas are made of painted,sanded,stained and baked muslin. Huge old buttons for eyes sewn on, needlesculpted faces,a few tattered and torn spots, here and there. The carrot is made of painted,sanded,stained and baked osnaburg,wound in rusty wire,with rusty bells,twisted,and rusty pinned on. Stuffed with abit of moss,a scrap of homespun,and a stamped luggage tag that simply reads ..wait for it..oh wait for it...spring! lol

Its a simple piece..but nice! It measures about 24 inches high and 6 inches across..perfect door greeter.

ChristMaS Cookies

These cookies have always been a big hit in my family. I had lost the recipe, but thankfully my sister Terri ,had one I had written to her..so I will post it as a pic, and hope ya'll can read it!  I've used raspberry and blackberry jam  in them, which is what my lil darlings like..lol..so you use what you need to ..to get that smile. ;)

Sure I have a pile of dishes in the sink, and I have tried so hard today not to waste anytime, about cleaning this house up..ahh but it can wait ..
I met a lady, today, She was auctioning off her ebay templates, and her work is totally awesome, so I wrote her about some new buttons for my website..usually when I ask for any kind of graphics or graphic advice, I wait hours to hear back, and then usually have to wait  hours again to get them..that was not the case today! Within an hour I had my buttons! I love them!  I had questions, she answered so freely,she even extended a helping hand in sorting out a button I couldn't get in. I begged her to charge me something for her time,but she graciously ignored every request..what she said was essencinally (sp) we should all be willing to lend a helping hand,without asking for money for it..she is so right! I would like to give her a plug tho..for her great work, her service to me, and for reminding me..there is never ever anything wrong with doing a stranger a favor..makes for great neighbors, and its only good business! whew, there just isn't enough time in a day, but actually its too long anyways! lol I think I need 2 of me,I'm sure I'm not alone! Been working on my etsy shop,its nice to be able to take orders for dolls, than try and guess what to do. Plus, you get that customer interaction, which is always a positive. Love that. I've also joined a couple of etsy teams pafa and ofg..the ladies have been very welcoming in both groups.
Well this week I did take a lil time to myself, to do abit of fall decorating around here..I've missed  doing  that (decorating) since I have moved here. Been here for just about a year now, and I  still have boxes to unpack. This place is so small tho..I really need to let go of a few things..but geez there's memories tied up in so many..whats a person to do!? lol
Have had request for patterns of  the Man in the MooN , and also the  Woodsy Owl Make-do..so I am gonna try and get those done this week. I still have hopes for thanksgiving patterns..I haven't given up on those! ..oh and Christmas too! lol..I think my plate is more than full!
By the by..I am working on a website..where I can load all my patterns..sell my dolls, and take orders for dolls..really excited about this! I'll be advertising in hopes I get a few visits!
Alrighty I know I should probaly get some pictures up of the new things, but I need to get those old shutters spruced up and back to use in my photos..I need the contrast! I am such a procrastinator!

Thought I better check in..before I forgot my password again! Its the little things that confuse me! lol..Gosh the weeks are flying by! In a couple of hours, Fall will have officially arrived! Then we all know whats coming next..Christmas! So I've semi started thinking about  Christmas and Winter patterns..tho I still have ideas for Thanksgiving..which  I really want to do..seems to be a lack of thanksgiving patterns, I'd like to fill that void if I could..so praying I'll solidify the ideas I have and hoping to find the time to do them. Meanwhile I have completed a few more patterns,since I was last here..so here's a few pics..
